Shared generation
No. Desperta is a private company, and shared generation is fully regulated: it is governed by Law 14,300/2022 (Brazil's Distributed Generation Legal Framework) and overseen by ANEEL. It is not a government benefit and does not replace the Social Tariff (Brazil's low-income energy discount). Joining is voluntary.
No. You join a community solar consortium that owns solar plants. The energy generated becomes energy credits, which are applied to your electricity bill and reduce the amount you pay.
Yes. When you sign up, you become part of the consortium that owns the solar plants and get a share of the plant's generation, which reaches your electricity bill as energy credits.
When you sign up, you join a consortium of consumers that receives the energy generated by solar plants. You receive a share of that energy, proportional to your average consumption, as credits on your electricity bill. That way you save up to 30%, depending on your utility company, with no construction or installation at your property.
No. The utility company keeps delivering energy to you. You remain its customer, but only pay the minimum grid fee, mandatory charges and taxes, plus any consumption above what was expected at sign-up.
No. The energy credits arrive through your local utility company's grid, with no changes to your installation. Signing up is 100% online.
No. You pay nothing to build or maintain the plants. You save with no investment, no construction and no red tape.
It is the energy generated by the consortium's solar plants. One credit equals one kWh injected into the grid for the consortium, and that credit is what reduces your bill.
Yes. Each consumer unit can join the consortium, and the savings apply to each one, depending on the utility company.
