Terms of use

Last updated: October 10, 2026

This is a translation for convenience; in case of any conflict, the Portuguese version prevails. These terms explain the rules for using the Desperta Energia website.

1About Desperta and the website

The despertaenergia.com website belongs to Desperta Energia (CNPJ 44.579.996/0001-07), headquartered at Av. Afonso Pena, 4121, sala 406, Cruzeiro, Belo Horizonte, MG, CEP 30130-008, Brazil.

On the website you can learn about and sign up for shared solar generation, by joining a consortium with solar plants, and ask for help with our consumer protection services. By using the website, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy policy.

2Using the website and visitor responsibilities

When using the website, you agree to:

  • provide true and up-to-date information, about yourself or about whoever you legally represent;
  • not try to access restricted areas, interfere with the website or use it for unlawful purposes;
  • be at least 18 years old to request a proposal or sign up.

The website may occasionally be unavailable, for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control. We do our best to keep this short.

3Estimate tool

The estimate tool shows an estimate of your savings, calculated from the bill amount you enter and the discount offered for your utility company. The result is not an offer.

The savings amount and the contract conditions are those stated in the proposal and in the membership agreement, which you see before accepting. The estimate does not bind you or Desperta.

4Forms and sending your electricity bill

The website forms are used to request a proposal, sign up, ask to be notified when we reach your region and ask for help with your electricity bill. Some of them open WhatsApp with a ready-made message for you to send.

Only send documents and electricity bills that are yours or belong to whoever you represent. The use of this data follows our Privacy policy.

5Consumer protection services

In the overbilling, utility complaint and damaged appliance services, Desperta guides you, organizes the documents, makes the requests with your authorization and follows every step.

The decision on refunds, complaints and compensation belongs to the utility company and, on appeal, to ANEEL, Brazil's electricity regulator. That is why we do not guarantee the outcome of a request.

6Communication via WhatsApp and email

Our official channels are WhatsApp (21) 99084-4058 and email addresses ending in @despertaenergia.com. Support is available Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm (Brasília time).

We do not ask for payments or passwords through any other channels. If you receive a suspicious message in Desperta's name, talk to us on WhatsApp before replying.

7Intellectual property

The Desperta Energia brand and the website's texts, images, videos and design belong to Desperta or are used under license. Copying or reusing this content without authorization is not allowed.

8Links to other websites

The website has links to other websites, such as those of ANEEL, utility companies and our social networks. Desperta is not responsible for the content or the privacy rules of those websites.

9Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date of the last update is at the top of the page, and the version in force is always the one published here.

10Jurisdiction and governing law

These terms are governed by Brazilian law. Any disputes will be settled in the courts of the consumer's place of residence, as provided by the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code.
